EXPORTING YOUR DATA FROM SIMS
Once all your Detention data is up to date in SIMS you can transfer the data into Tracker+. To do this, you must first export the data from SIMS at both school sites. Data must always be imported into Tracker+ on a Windows based system.
Begin by logging into SIMS and go to:
Reports > Run Report
There is a single report on each site that needs to be exported. Find, 'Tracker+ Detention Basedata' and double click to run the report. This will export the data into Microsoft Excel. Once in Excel, click File > Save As and in the dialogue box that appears ensure you choose 'Excel Workbook' from the 'Save as Type' dropdown menu. For Heavers Farm call this document 'detention_heavers' and for Selsdon call this document 'detention_selsdon' (case sensitive).
Now close both files and go to Step 2.

2
IMPORTING YOUR DATA INTO TRACKER+
From here on out everything becomes a whole lot simpler. Tracker+ will handle everything for you. The final step is to import your data into Tracker+. Begin by opening Tracker+ and the files you created in Step 1 (detention_heavers.xlsx & detention_selsdon.xlsx). It's always best to open Tracker+ first followed by the data files. Once all files are open click on the 'System Management' tile on the home screen of Tracker+ and authenticate with your System Management password. Once you've correctly authenticated click the 'Import Detention Data' button which will then begin to scan for new Detention data.
All that's left to do now is click the Computer icon.

RELAX. WE'LL HANDLE THE REST.
Tracker+ will now begin importing your data and building your analyses from it. It should take approximately 20-30 seconds or so. When it's done we'll let you know.
